Dear AdNet Employees, Clients, and Friends;
Spring is officially here and with that comes opportunities for new growth and awareness. Though we are celebrating multiple holidays this month, I wanted to take the time to honor Transgender Day of Visibility which was on Friday. There have been so many ups and downs for our transgender community which seems that every diverse community is under a microscope, going back to the drawing board to defend our rights. You know that makes me furious!!! And those emotions fuel my resolve for change. More than ever, it is important to uplift and support the transgender community and every diverse community in America.
I’m excited that our neighborhood is in conversation about putting a bookstore in the church hall to include titles that have been and may be banned in other states. I’m sure glad I live in Maryland. The best way to fight back against ignorance and hate are to do good deeds, be kind and send love out into the world. That’s really a good place to start when you are unsure of what to do or unable to take a heavy lift type of action. The energy of love is so much stronger than hate and that’s how we overcome the negativity out in the world, together.
If you catch yourself judging someone because you don’t understand their choices or perhaps lose patience, just step back and take a breath. We are all doing the best we can and sometimes slowing down can curb our judgements.
As we step into Passover and Easter festivities, make traditional meals, attend religious services, and gather with loved ones, take the time for gratitude because if we all collectively put gratitude out into the universe, goodness and love will come back to us.
May this season be filled with love and light for you and your loved ones.
