Tidbits of Joy #101 - Women's History Month

Dear AdNet Employees, Clients, and Friends:

As we celebrate the power of women in March, I reflect on the women who shaped our world today, such as Amelia Earhart, Rosa Parks, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, all of whom are my “shero’s”. All of them were ordinary women embarking on extraordinary paths that they didn’t expect yet accepted the challenges with grace and courage. They moved in directions where men told them they could not go. They challenged the status quo and were the voice for equality in days when that word was non-existent. And we refuse allow anyone attempt to diminish our magnificence!!!! So, to all the fearless women reading this and for all the men who support us, be great, be loud and if anyone attempts to silence you/us and close the door to opportunity, climb in through the window and never ever give up.

I’m just going to say that there is a great deal of rhetoric out there that attempts to tire us out and push us to retreat. Don’t succumb to that manipulation and the lies that seem to permeate the news each day. We hold our heads up high and we lead with our intuition and integrity because no one can ever take that away from us. And in the end, integrity always wins. We are seeing questionable behaviors happening right now but watch for the grass roots courage that happens daily. We are not going away, and our voices are not to be squelched. When the bullies bellow, push back because they will eventually back down. Bullying behavior is a sign of insecurity and fear. And it’s a mask that another will wear hoping to scare us to run in the other direction. Bring it on baby!!! I have dealt with plenty of bullies throughout my personal and business life and when I have stood in my power, they shrink away. It takes time for that to happen yet staying steady leads us to peace and success. Grace and eloquence do not mean we are weak…..on the contrary, often the eloquent warriors make the difference that is needed to make change.

When I have doubt or feel tired from trudging up the hill I blast one of my favorite songs by Helen Reddy “I Am Woman”. Turn up the volume and enjoy!!

I am strong – I am invincible – I am WOMAN!!!

You are all so loved and appreciated.

With gratitude,

Betsy Cerulo
